Last updated: June 3, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Better Veterinarians website and all our services, including ACTS: AI Consultation Training Simulator (“ACTS”).
1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Better Veterinarians Pty Ltd (Australia) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website, creating an account, or using ACTS, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use our services. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or misuse the platform. You may close your account by contacting us; see the Privacy Policy for how we handle deletion requests.
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Free Tier
ACTS is offered in tiers (including Explorer, Standard, and Pro) as described on our Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges according to the plan you select until you cancel in accordance with Stripe and our checkout flows.
Explorer accounts may include usage limits (such as voice credits) and may display third-party advertisements on some pages. Standard and Pro accounts are intended to be advertisement-free. Features and pricing may change; we will apply changes prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or third-party outages may affect access.
4. Acceptable Use
You must use ACTS lawfully and only for legitimate educational or professional training purposes. You must not:
- Enter real client, owner, or patient identifying information unless you are authorised and accept the risks
- Harass, abuse, or attempt to manipulate AI outputs for harmful, illegal, or deceptive purposes
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent security or usage limits
- Share account credentials or resell access without our written permission
- Upload malware or interfere with the operation of the service
- Click or interact with advertisements in a fraudulent or automated manner
Voice features require microphone access in your browser. You control device permissions and are responsible for using ACTS in appropriate environments.
5. Educational Disclaimer
ACTS simulates veterinary consultations for training and education only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary judgment, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. AI-generated clients and feedback may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must not rely on ACTS for real clinical decisions. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.
6. User Content & Licence
You retain ownership of content you submit (including notes and consultation transcripts). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, use, reproduce, and process that content as needed to operate ACTS, provide feedback, secure the service, and improve our products.
You also grant us permission to use de-identified or aggregated usage data and transcripts to improve ACTS, develop features, and support veterinary education research, as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the right to provide any content you submit.
7. Intellectual Property
We own or license all rights in the website, ACTS software, scenarios, branding, documentation, and underlying technology. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written consent.
8. Third-Party Services & Advertising
ACTS relies on third-party providers (including cloud hosting, AI, speech, analytics, payments, and advertising). Their terms and privacy practices may apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from our platform.
Where Google AdSense or similar display advertising appears, it is provided passively for eligible free-tier users. We do not offer account credits, unlocks, or other rewards in exchange for viewing or clicking ads. You must not encourage invalid ad activity.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). To the extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee is limited, at our option, to resupply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of ACTS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for ACTS in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) AUD $100, except where liability cannot be limited under the ACL.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Before commencing formal proceedings, please contact us via Contact Us so we can try to resolve the issue in good faith.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when changes take effect. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-product message. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, subject to your rights under the ACL and other applicable law.
Thank you for being part of the ACTS AI journey.
